Jeff Adams has been inspecting homes for real estate transactions for 20+ yrs.’, he has a strong Electrical background & experience in the Electrical field, as well in the HVAC Industry, Plumbing Industry and residential & commercial construction. He has been in the Commercial Steel Fabrication business for over 18 yrs.’ and has worked on large scale commercial buildings throughout the city of San Antonio and surrounding areas, as well as residential/home building across South Central Texas. Jeff Adams is a licensed Home Inspector #3813 & a lisc Certified Pest Control Applicator # 41869 pt., and holds several certification and licenses for Septic's and Water Wells. Mr. Adams has taught construction and inspection related classes as Adjunct Faculty for San Antonio College (SAC). He has also built custom homes and has worked as a consultant and expert for other custom home builders in South Central Texas. With 2-3 yrs.’ experience as a construction Arbitrator and Mediator for construction defects Mr. Adams has been court certified as an expert witness in construction defect litigation. Mr. Adams has numerous years of court room experience to include being an Arbitrator as well as a Mediator and has had some of his cases argued all the way at the supreme court level. Mr. Adams has experience as an investigator to include retaining wall failure, structure failures and fire and death cases, he has testified to City Councils and numerous Court Cases.Mr. Adams has home building experience with Adams Custom Homes as well as property repair/rehab construction experience. Mr. Adams is adjunct faculty and has experience in education and has taught classes for San Antonio College as well as the 1st Green Building Courses in San Antonio done in conjunction with Texas A&M University. EXPERIENCE
1994 – Present: Adams Inspection service professional Building Inspector & construction expert. Adams is currently conducting Commercial & Residential Inspections, Consulting, Marketing, Sales, Scheduling and appointments, supervising employees, customer Service, as well as maintaining a solid business practice resulting in a successful business for over 20 years.
2007 – Present: San Antonio College Adjunct Faculty Mr. Adams is teaching a course in building practices, building codes, laws & regulations of building/construction and real estate inspections. Mr. Adams is responsible for outlining curriculum, scheduling, research, grading and evaluation of each student. Mr. Adams is running day to day business to include scheduling appointments, billing, collections, scheduling and performing pest control services to include termite inspections, and termite treatments Owner Adams Pest Control
1999 – Present: Mr. Adams presided over cases in arbitration where I held judicial authority. I arbitrated cases involving builders and consumers who disagreed. I heard the cases and rendered a ruling that would be legal and binding. Construction arbitration service arbitrator
2003 – 2005: Hill Country Steel Fabrication owner/manager/foreman Mr. Adams was responsible for daily operations of Steel Fabrication, to include directing and supervising employees as well as quality control, scheduling, estimating, meeting deadlines, ordering materials & budget control. This business was sold successfully to partnership. Mr. Adams has held other positions within his work history and has experience in HVAC, plumbing, electrical, estimating, management, shop/work safety, home construction, commercial building construction, septic's, water wells, pest control as well as court certified as a construction expert. Employee, fabricator, foreman, manager, educator, quality control, estimator, scheduler, advertising, as well as other work ventures have been completed.
1981 – 1985: High School Diploma emphasis on vocational training with 3 yrs.’ of welding completed Marc Arthur High School San Antonio, TX
1992 – End: San Antonio College Professional Inspectors License Attended San Antonio College to obtain a professional inspectors license. 250 classroom hrs. completed.
2007 – End: Texas A&M AgrLlife Extension, Corpus Christi Pest Control Certification, Certified Applicators Licensing & Pest Control Business License Attended A&M AgriLife to obtain a Certified Applicator and Pest Control Business License.
1985 – Present: Numerous Education for CEU’s CEU’s for licensing Have Attended numerous classes for additional licensing and CEU’s with over 600 hours completed to date Take a look at a few of my favorite projects during the course of Jeff Adams work experience Jeff Adams work experience has included the construction on such projects to include Wal-Mart's, Phar-Mor Drug Stores, Burlington Coat Factory, Stein Mart, Goodwill Industries, Cross Roads Mall, River Center Mall, Rolling Oaks Mall, San Antonio Marriott, Motel 6, as well projects at local Military Bases. These projects were conducted at Randolph Air Force Base, Kelley Air Force Base, Fort Sam Houston, Brook Air Force Base and others. Jeff Adams has conducted commercial & residential inspections for the city of Floresville, he has inspected construction projects for the Poth Independent School District and has conducted inspections for insurance companies to include USAA, Farmers, Nation Wide, State farm and others. Jeff Adams has worked as an expert and problem solver on fire investigation cases, retaining wall failures, commercial building failures, home failures and others. Such Projects include the retaining wall collapse at The Hills of Rivermist, structural failure of buildings at South Padre for the Mcallen Trust and Broadway Bank. He has worked as an expert for such companies as Les Miller Discovery Custom Homes, Pulte Homes, United Built Homes and others. Mr. Adams has been an expert that numerous law firms turn to as a construction expert. Such firms as Kustoff & Phips, Ken Grubs, Brian Woods, Jeff Dahl, Nina Petro and numerous others. Jeff Adams Is court certified as a construction expert and has had his inspection reports used by the Texas Supreme Court in their decision making.
